Ben Stevens & Rodi Style "Chaos Theory" (Kung Fu
Wax)
“Hotly-tipped Rodi Style issues the second 12” on his Kung Fu Wax imprint comprising two hard house monsters. “Chaos Theory” is a menacing, intoxicating track which sucks you into it’s long breakdown, then knocks you sideways with a dramatic climax. Karl Davis and Defective Audio also get in on the action with the oddly-titled NRG cut “Big Rich The Needle Pusher” on the flip.” |

Rodi
Style "Jump",
"Let Go" and "Spelling Bee" (Kung Fu
Wax)
After just coming back from playing at the Tidy Weekender, Rodi has
released some info about the debut release on his newly founded Kung
Fu Wax label. ‘Jump’ is a track which is going to give
your speakers the ultimate test. The lead in the track is a groovy
synth lead which is accompanied by the an extremely phat bassline.
The break is a reminder of Rodi’s filth NRG style, with an immense
build-up which builds into a fantastically energetic peak.
‘Let Go’ starts
off as a reminder of the older NRG days but continues into a progressive
track which shifts into Rodi’s signature flowing hoover style.
In ‘Spelling Bee’ there is a great use of samples, which
have all be used to create a very funky and groovy hard house number.

Rodi
Style "This Is How It Goes" & "D.I.S." (Oktane Records)
The flip sees the ever-improving and gifted dj/producer from anyhooland
(Canada) – Rodi Style. First up, ‘This Is How It Goes’
is trademark Rodi. Huge kick (I want this kick), even huger bassline,
fierce synth lines, acid, and interesting and original percussion
all expertly put together in one massive and immaculate NRG package.
‘D.I.S.’, the second Rodi Style song combines some rave
stabs and a few hoovers with the dutty synth action, another quality
production from Rodi. No wonder his set went down as the best for
many at TW12! There are probably a few copies of this somewhere if
you look hard enough, but only a few!

Rodi
Style "This Is How It Goes" & "D.I.S." (Oktane Records)
The Oktane label makes its debut with some turbo-charged beats courtesy
of label boss Adam M and Tekneak together with the mighty Defective
Audio. As you might expect, it's an aural onslaught of rasping riffs
and surging sound effects. Don't expect any light relief on the flipside
as Canada's finest, Rodi Style, lets rip with two equally fierce floor
bangers, 'This Is How It Goes' and 'D.I.S.' Four-star fuel for hard
dancefloors. |
